Kristie Leigh Maguire and her husband have lived all over the United States and many foreign countries while following his career. While living in Japan, she found it very difficult to find books to read that were written in English. This situation was intolerable as she was an avid reader and had been known to resort to reading cereal boxes if nothing else was available. Have you ever tried to read a cereal box written in Japanese? It was not a pretty picture. She began writing her own books just to have something to read. Since the romance genre was what she loved to read, that is what she decided to write.  

Kristie Leigh Maguire is the author of Affairs of the Heart: Desert Heat and Cabin Fever (Collector's Edition), Desert Heat, Cabin Fever, Second Chances, Emails from the Edge: Memoirs of an Expat Wife, and co-author of No Lady and Her Tramp.

Although Ms. Maguire is originally from the South and will always remain Southern at heart, she and her husband now live in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. During her expatriate years, she and her husband lived in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Aruba, Thailand, Japan and three times in Saudi Arabia.  During their overseas years they have also visited St. Marteen, St. John, England, the Netherlands, Bahrain, Cyprus, Korea, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, and Saipan.

A Note from Kristie Leigh Maguire

Second Chances is a western romance and my first new release in a few years. It is available in paperback, e-book, and Kindle versions. My past romance books have been hot and sizzling. I am taking a different path by going in a “sweeter” direction, romantically speaking, with Second Chances.
